Learn the basics of working with electronics!

This safety and basic function course (SBFC) will instruct you in the safe handling and operation of soldering irons and the electronic workbench (AC/DC power supply, multimeter, etc.). In addition, this course provides an introduction to basic concepts of electricity and circuit engineering enabling participants to assemble components into basic circuits and perform simple electrical measurements.
 
This course is a prerequisite for using equipment in the MakerSpace electronics lab!

Minimum Age

  • 12 years
  • Children between 12 and 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent.
  • For young people between the ages of 16 and 18, written consent of a parent or guardian is required..

Fluent English
 

Safety Requirements

Closed shoes must be worn at all times. Members will be denied entry to MakerSpace in case of non-compliance.
