These house rules serve to ensure a regulated and safe coexistence in the rooms of UnternehmerTUM MakerSpace GmbH, hereinafter referred to as "MakerSpace," and to comply with applicable legal regulations. They apply to all persons in the MakerSpace.

§ 1 House Right

  1. The house right is exercised by the management. The management is entitled to appoint house right officers for specific areas of the facility at any time.
  2. Decisions and measures taken by the management in the exercise of the house right take precedence over those of the house right officers in every case.

§ 2 Opening Hours

The MakerSpace rooms are generally open from:
Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Outside these hours, the rooms must remain closed. If exceptions are required, the management will regulate the general service operation outside of the opening hours.

§ 3 Safety and Order

  1. All individuals are required to ensure that damages of all kinds, particularly from fire, theft, or break-ins, are prevented, and that all technical facilities are used properly.
  2. Staff are responsible for locking the rooms, as well as turning off the lights and closing the windows when leaving the rooms. Forcefully opening doors and windows is prohibited.
  3. After finishing work, individuals must leave the work area, particularly ensuring that cleaning personnel are not obstructed.
  4. In case of rain, storm, or snowfall, windows must be closed in time. Our facility must generally be secured according to the weather conditions.
  5. Cleanliness must be maintained in all rooms, especially in the toilets and workshops. Waste of all kinds must be disposed of in the designated waste containers. Hazardous substances and special waste must be disposed of in suitable containers in consultation with our staff and may only be brought onto the premises with the operator's consent.
  6. Any damage, defects, irregularities, or special occurrences must be reported to the operator immediately.
  7. Smoking in the rooms is prohibited. Exceptions are designated areas.
  8. The use of bicycles, inline skates, skateboards, scooters, or similar items is not permitted in the rooms and facilities.
  9. Persons under the influence of medication or narcotics that impair their performance must stop working. Pregnant and breastfeeding individuals may only work in our workshops after presenting a medical certificate and in accordance with the provisions of the Maternity Protection Act (MuschG), which the operator expressly refers to and deems applicable.
  10. The consumption and distribution of alcoholic beverages, narcotics, and drugs are prohibited in our premises.
  11. Bringing animals is not permitted.
  12. Please inform us about a possible pregnancy in your own interest. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are particularly legally protected periods, which must be respected.

§ 4 Fire Protection

  1. All individuals must familiarize themselves with the fire protection equipment.
  2. Each person must familiarize themselves with the escape route plan in our premises.
  3. Fire protection systems must not be impaired in their function.
  4. Misuse of fire extinguishing equipment is prohibited.
  5. The central emergency phone number is: 089 289 112.

§ 5 Activities Requiring Permission and Prohibited Activities

In the rooms and facilities of the MakerSpace, prior written consent (approval) is required for:

  • Posting notices and posters as well as distributing leaflets and flyers,
  • Filming, photographing, and recording sound,
  • Any form of distribution of goods and collecting orders.

Unauthorized postings will be removed at the expense of the individual. Approvals are at the discretion of the management.

§ 6 Guidelines

  1. In the MakerSpace, we foster a culture of open communication for idea generation, decision-making, and problem-solving. Only the exchange of differing viewpoints ultimately leads to the best solution.
  2. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination, harassment, or violence. This applies to our actions both within and outside the company, regardless of the requirements of the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).
  3. We value our employees, members, customers, partners, and suppliers. We view differences in age, gender, religion, culture, and abilities as enriching.

§ 7 Lost Property

Lost property in the building must be handed in or collected at the reception. By accepting lost property, there is no claim for liability or storage. Accepted lost property will be kept by the MakerSpace for a maximum of one year and then disposed of.

§ 8 Consequences of Violations

In case of serious violations of the house rules or non-compliance by individuals, continued use of the workshop may be prohibited and/or a ban from the premises may be imposed.

§ 9 Regulatory Provisions

Further regulations may be issued for specific areas. These regulations relate to the house rules and must be communicated in an appropriate manner.

§ 10 Entry into Force

These house rules come into effect on 01.01.2022 with the signature of the management. All previous house rules are hereby repealed.
