G-PRO-005E | 3D Printing for Beginners - Prusa (SLA) (A)

Stereolithography is a technical principle of rapid prototyping/manufacturing in which a workpiece is built up layer by layer. In this course, you will learn about this light-based process in which individual layers of a model are built up with polymer liquid resin and cured by a laser beam! SLA is finer, but also more brittle, so not as robust as FDM!

From Virtual to Real Model – Learn the SLA 3D Printing Process!

Thanks to 3D printing technology, completing a physical object based on a computer model is simplified. It is the fastest and most cost-effective way to produce small parts. The SLA process offers very high quality, accuracy, and a wide range of materials.

In this safety and basic function course, you will learn to import 3D files into the Prusa® Slicer software, modify them if necessary, and then print them on the Prusa® SL1S SPEED. You will learn all the necessary information and skills that will enable you to operate the machine for all 3D printing requirements.

What you can do after the course:

  • Operate the Prusa® 3D printer in the MakerSpace.
  • Prepare your 3D models or 3D components downloaded from the internet for printing with the Prusa® Slicer software.
  • Use the possibilities of 3D printing to implement your ideas in model making, design, for spare parts, etc.

This course is a prerequisite for using the machine independently in the MakerSpace!
